Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Granite Falls Middle School!
It has been an incredible privilege to serve as the principal of Granite Falls Middle School the past 3 years. Each year brings new opportunities, new challenges, and new reasons to be proud of our students, staff, families, and community. As we begin another school year together, I am excited about where we are headed and the continued growth we will achieve as a school community.
My journey in education has been centered on one belief: every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and every student deserves adults who believe in them. Throughout my career in education, I have had the opportunity to serve students, teachers, coaches, families, and communities in a variety of leadership roles. Those experiences have strengthened my commitment to creating schools where students feel known, supported, challenged, and prepared for their future.
At Granite Falls Middle School, we have much to celebrate. Over the past several years, our staff and students have worked hard to strengthen instruction, improve student achievement, build a positive school culture, and close opportunity gaps. We have seen meaningful growth in student learning, strengthened our systems of support, and continued to build a culture where relationships and high expectations go hand in hand. Our recognition for our school culture and our work toward closing achievement gaps reflects the dedication of our students and staff.
Our vision for this school year is simple: every student will grow, every student will feel belong, and every student will have the opportunity to ROAR for success.
Just as importantly, we will continue building a school where students feel that they belong. Middle school is an important time in a young person's life, where our students need strong academics, relationships, encouragement, accountability, opportunities to lead, and adults who will stand beside them when things become difficult.
I want to thank the Granite Falls School community for your continuing to support our students and schools. Our success is stronger when our entire community comes together.

About Our School
Welcome to Granite Falls Middle School! In the early spring of 2019, Granite Falls Middle School opened a state-of-the-art STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Manufacturing) building focused on project-based learning. Classrooms included: Computer Lab, Manufacturing, Culinary, Fashion, Marketing, Environmental Science Labs, Life Skills, Robotics, and Technology. The equipment housed throughout the classrooms will give the students the skills and abilities to compete for high demand careers after high school.
We serve students in grades 6-8 with approximately 40 teachers and support staff that provide students a safe learning community to create academic excellence.The school has over 400 students with a full academic program in addition to music, library-media, physical education, technology, special education, counseling services, enrichment classes and a full athletic program for seventh and eighth grade students. A strong parent volunteer program supports a tutoring/mentoring program, book fairs and student recognition. In addition, students are involved in the National Junior Honor Society, digital media, and leadership activities including community service.
